Window display: Google HQ (2018)

I created this snow cloud scene for Google in the Google Gasworks building, Dublin 4. The space is three stories high and has a dominant white shelf at eye level. I wanted to manipulate the shelf so it worked in harmony with the scene, so I added wood panels cut into animated cloud shapes. They framed the space and utilised the large windows by using the real sky as part of the scene. To further give the illusion of being high up in the clouds I stuck an aerial view of a snowy forest to the floor beneath Santa's sleigh. Giant hot air balloons filled the sky with joyful colour and each one had a little elf climbing up and down the ladders helping Santa refill his sleigh.
